Spending Time In NatureBy
I love many things, but nature must be one of the most appreciated things in my life, I simply adore spending time in nature, there’s nothing like it.
As you may know, I currently live in Scandinavia and here the summer is on it’s way and last weekend I had my first swim of the year, which was absolutely wonderful
Now that it’s warmer outside and sunny I take full advantage of all the benefits that gives to us.
It’s revitalizing, energizing, good for the soul, mind and body in every way!
Do you spend enough time in nature?
I just felt so inspired to write a few words about my love for it and at the same time take the opportunity to be the voice of nature and call you out this weekend – to take a long walk, go to the beach or nearby water and just sit there for a while (My Facebook page picture is from where I live, and I’m there by the lake pretty much every day enjoying the stillness) soaking up the loving and giving energy from Mother Earth.
Yesterday afternoon and evening I spent clearing up in the backyard, raking, weeding etc, and next week me and my friend and neighbor are going to plant vegetables as we did last year – it’s so wonderful to have your own veggies, and so meditative to do some gardening and tending to it in stillness and contemplation. Very relaxing.
Highly recommend it if you have a spot available in your backyard (or even balcony!) to grow your own vegetables and herbs!
So, with this short post today I invite you to let nature lay some luv on you this weekend, let it soak up any tension or stress (if you feel any of that), or just let yourself be embraced by it’s beauty and really connect with it just because.
Really experience nature, breath in and out deeply while walking in silence in the forest. Listen to the water, look at the colors, appreciate it – I get all emotional even thinking about it. So wonderful.
This is a picture of me (or my happy feet) that I took before mowing of the lawn etc.
In the beginning of the tree-area in the back, that’s where we are going to have our vegetable garden, and I really look forward to get started with it.
Wishing you all a great weekend and hope you get to go out in nature and play and goof around this weekend as I’m going to do myself!
It’s healthy to just loosen up and be silly and childlike at times and isn’t this the perfect weekend to do just that?
There is only Now – This Moment is our whole life – Enjoy it!
