Full Moon Feng Shui

What Will You Release And Let Go Of?

It’s full moon again; time to do some cleansing and cleaning of all sorts of clutter that stagnates the energy flow.

  • Let go of grudges; forgive someone.
  • Don’t use that shirt anymore? Give it to someone else.
  • The pile of paper that has starred at you for weeks now? Go through it today.
  • Been unhappy in a relationship and don’t feel it will be better? Let the other person go.
  • Thinking about quit smoking? Today is the day to do it.

We always know what holds us back somehow, and the energy of the full moon is ideal to use in order to leave something behind that has held us back, whether it be things, people or situations but also limiting beliefs, negative thought patters and negative attitudes.

I usually have a full moon ritual where I clean the whole house, I throw away things I don’t need, and I go through notes and papers etc.

I also delete things I don’t need anymore in my computer, and I reflect on whether there is something else that needs to be released in my life. If there is; I write it down and I burn the sheet afterwards with the intention to never look back. And I don’t.

With this ritual I have come to have a very clutter-free life. This has really helped me to become free and open to the newness of life in every regard.

If it is a person that you need to leave, please remember to bless them silently before you let them go. Wish them well and send them only good thoughts no matter what your past with them has been like.

Tomorrow is a new day, free from all kinds of clutter, and the energy has free flow so the new can enter our life.

~Happy full moon everyone!

  4. What a great post, Maria! Thanks for sharing and reminding me! This is a “biggy” for me, there is still soo much in my life I need to let go of. Years ago, one of my sons gave me a little book on the subject of personal organization. It said: “If you stashed away some item, paper or whatever with the idea you may still need it some day, and you have not used it for three months, let it go, chances are you’ll never use it again”. Ninety percent true in my experience, but it’s a tough one, as you might guess and understand.

Also, what you are saying about letting things go in the right spirit, I found to be very important. If I let go of things half-heartedly, sure enough, the regret will present itself later, on a silver platter, with a sudden demand and need of what I had let go, acusing me (my babbling ego) of my dumb decision. Of course, this applies to everything, (experiences, relationships, bad habits, unforgiving thoughts, vampire friendships, regrets over missed opportunities, feeling guilty, “should have done this or that”, etc. the list is endless) and not just material things.

Warmly recommend your free e-book “Clarity Exercise” and “Energy Awareness” on this very vital subject. Must read again. Just love everything you are saying! And thanks again for your generous sharing.

  5. Thanks for your comment Benard!

The full moon is a great time to let go of things, and for endings and finishing up, so de-cluttering is really great to do.

I don’t have clutter in my life anymore, but reflection is always in it’s place I think regarding to looking a bit closer to maybe relationships, beliefs etc as they are ever evolving, and let go of those that are not supportive.

And many thanks for your endorsements Benard – I’m glad to hear that you find my work inspirational and helpful. It’s always nice to hear that it is appreciated so thank you for that.

    Blessings,
    Maria
