How to move from ‘asking and wanting’ to ‘allowing and receiving’ PART 2
As you may remember from PART 1:
I wrote about the importance of detachment and letting go of the need to control the ‘hows’ in the process of manifestation.
Of course our part also includes to do whatever we can with the means we have, and invest energy in our dreams – if we don’t, then we must take a closer look at the desire and see if it’s really ours, or if we are trying to please someone else, because believe me; if the dream is ours, we will automatically show huge interest in it.
Lets assume that we have worked out all the limiting beliefs about us being able to live our best life, and dive right into the part where we finally receive what we have asked for with our vibration.
Detachment, letting go, doing what we can to the extent that it still feels good (inspired action), and relaxing/finding Peace within, is some of the ways to get into a state of allowing, and in this post I will share another way – like acting ‘as if’ with attitude of complete certainty of fulfillment of desire!
A little story came to mind again. It was on one of my trips, and if there are anything in the world that I really dislike it is airports, for sure – being like a sponge for other peoples energies, I can’t wait to get the whole process over with as soon as possible, and I really don’t like the stressful and sometimes fearful energy in airports.
Anyways, I don’t remember where I was this particular time, but I remember what happened very clearly and I still chuckle when I think about it 🙂
I was on my way to the airport, had all my luggage and went “OK, here we go..!” and took a deep breath and stepped in to the airport and saw this looong line to the check-in and I was thinking “Oh, nooo..!” when I got this idea popping into my mind that I would act as if I was a VIP, so I stretched my body, walked with confidence and kept saying this mantra in my head; “I’m a VIP, I’m treated like a VIP, I’m a very important person and I’m being treated like the queen I am” and so forth, and all of a sudden (this happened within minutes) a guy that worked at the airport came up to me and took my luggage and said “This way miss, follow me”, and walked me pass aaall the people that stood in line, and I was like “Oki…” and kept walking confidently in the direction he was going with my stuff and I saw the people in the line looking at me and I could see in their faces that they were thinking “Who’s she? She must be some kind of a VIP or something” and the guy showed me to a check-in counter that they opened just for me..!
And there I am, can’t believe what is happening but I’m playing along thinking “Oh, yeah! I’m a VIP, that’s why this is happening, I’m treated like a star because that is what I am!”, and I get checked in and off I go without even had to stay in line for a second!
Why? Because of my attitude of certainty. I was having an inner conversation going on that was empowering and my body-language supported that by the as-a-matter-of-fact attitude I was emitting.
I was acting ‘as if’ I was a VIP knowing that the universe, or our subconscious mind, doesn’t know the difference between true or false, it just responds to whatever we give to it.
The power of certainty is awesome, and it is really pure Faith if we think of it, because there are no ‘ifs and buts’ involved when we claim something to BE.
The same happens when we imagine how our successful/fullfilled (or whatever it is that we want) future self would act in the Now, and we act from that person Now.
The universe will not know the difference, and the more we act ‘as if’ the faster we become what we desire to be.
Because before we can ‘get’, we must ‘be’. We can’t become prosperous before we feel prosperous, we can’t find love before we realize that we ARE love, and we can’t be fulfilled and happy before we can feel happiness in the moment of Now.
So, play a little game today, play a mantra in your mind throughout the whole day and say “I’m a VIP, I’m treated like a star wherever I go because I’m a very important person” and so on.
Not in an arrogant way, but in a matter-of-fact kinda way, and see how the world reacts to you in new ways. Because, really, when you think of it, you’re really not pretending, because we are ALL very important people! 🙂
~Act as if you are a star – because you ARE!
