The Power of Music and Movement
The benefits of music on our brain are undeniable
There has been a lot of research done on the effect it has on the human brain.
To me personally, music is incredibly powerful, and you don’t really have to read any research on it – we are all affected by it – just put your favorite song on and turn up the volume!
Music is powerful!
It has always had the ability to move me to tears, and it makes me happy and it also enhances my exercise regime especially when I’m out power-walking.
In my opinion music is the number one thing that can help people change their emotional state.
Try listening to emotionally uplifting music while out walking and you can’t but feel both uplifted and empowered!
Music can also help relieve emotions like stress, anxiety and depression.
Obviously it depends on what kind of music you listen to as music has a unique link to our emotions.
It also helps the creative and inspirational flow.
Whenever you feel stuck with a creative project, try going out for a power-walk while listening to for example trance (without song) and you’ll see that when you get back home you have new creative flow to tap into.
Or how about combining music and exercise by doing a Zumba workout where you dance like no one is watching and have some fun at the same time?
Feeling sluggish or tired?
Pull yourself up by dancing (or jumping around) for 30 minutes!
Or if you live by the ocean, go out and walk by the beach when no one is there and sing your heart out into the sound of the crashing waves!
Do it now! 🙂
It only takes 5 minutes and you’ll be in an elevated mood that you can bring to the rest of your day!
What will it be?
- Listen to an emotionally uplifting song with headphones? (Do a YouTube search for “emotionally uplifting trance” and turn up the volume).
- Dance like no one is watching and do some sexy hip moves while you’re at it? (Check YouTube for “Zumba workout”).
- Sing your heart out where no one can hear you? (in your car for example).
Enjoy! 🙂
