Social Media Platforms Down Across the World: How it can benefit you
Social media platforms are down globally and this could be a huge turning point for many!
The day social media crashed could turn out to be the day that many people woke up and realized how much of their lives were wasted on Facebook and all the other platforms that exists.
Instead of fretting, being frustrated, panicking, crying and throwing fits (which I imagine many children/teens do as they’ve become addicted to social media), why not use this day as a day of AWARENESS.
What I mean by that is that this could be a day where you become keenly aware of your own reactions and behaviors and seeing it as a really, really good thing.
Instead of checking your phone every 5 minutes to see if Facebook or Instagram etc. is back up and working again, why not disconnect completely from all social media for the whole day?
Yes. No checking the social media apps on your phone at all, for a whole day!
For many this is inconceivable because they have grown so accustomed to always be checking their phone. It has become like a tic they can’t control (although they can if they train their mind away from it).
This disruption in the status quo could turn out to be the turning point for many towards a life that is vastly different than the life they previously lived.
I believe that many people will use social media less (or at least with much more self-awareness) after Facebook and Instagram etc. comes back because this is a great eye-opening opportunity to see things more clearly for those who are open to it.
So today I invite you to disconnect from social media altogether, especially if you’re one of those who spend many hours everyday there.
Resist the additive behavior of checking your phone every 5 minutes and instead spend the day connecting with real people, and most importantly, with yourself.
Put the phone down; turn off the social media apps and notifications and start living, if only for today.
One Day, and see how it is.
You will be amazed how much your self-awareness increases when you’re open to seeing yourself clearly.
Leave the zombie apocalypse where everyone is absorbed by their phone and mindlessly scrolling down the feeds.
Spend time with family and friends instead, or take a long walk and enjoy the nature, your surroundings, birds chirping, and watching the dogs playing and chasing each other on the beach.
Leave the state of constant distraction and attention-hooking robotic behavior and get back in touch with yourself.
You’ll be so much more happy, creative and present in your own life when you do.
Once you reconnect and become aware of how addictive social media is and how it’s distracting you from real life and your own true self, you’ll come to see everything very differently and you simply can’t go back to your old self again after that.
A huge shift towards something more life-affirming and life-giving can happen today if you allow it.
The social media crash that is happening right now is a wonderful opportunity for people to get back in alignment with who they really are and connecting and communicating more with not only themselves, but with other people as well.
This is a great time to listen deeply to yourself and get back on track with your life again.
It could turn out to be one of the best things that has ever happened for humanity at large, this day that the social media platforms crashed.
I think many lives will change because of this, and for the better! 😊
