How To Handle Divine Storms (Transformation)
Feeling lost and confused in your transformational/awakening process
At a certain point in the unfoldment of our spiritual development we come to a place where we feel that we have reached an end and we don’t know what to do or where to go next.
This can happen many times, it’s like a circle of transformation where we encounter the same processes time and time again as we grow but in different ways each time, and with our spiritual growth we come to get familiarized with them and that allows us to go through them faster and smoother each time they appear.
Here’s How The Transformation Process Usually Goes
We might have done a lot of inner work, felt excited about our progress, and then suddenly we come to a halt, a stand-still in our growth.
At first we feel great about it (we might even celebrate it), we feel that we have accomplished something wonderful (and we have) and there’s a naturalness of an ending and completeness of one phase in our life and a promise of a new, exciting beginning.
There’s a wonderful feeling of connectedness, of trust, and inner safety and security (no matter what is going on in our lives), everything just feels incredible awesome.
Then something suddenly happens.
The door to the new seem to be locked and we can’t open it no matter how hard we try.
It feels like there’s a party going on inside and all we can do is to stand outside, looking in from the window but not be able to partake in the fun.
So we think “Oki, .. hmm”, and we take a deep breath and we try to relax and reassess the situation in an attempt to understand.
“What’s going on? I know I’m suppose to be where the fun is, and I feel peaceful, but I also feel a restlessness creeping up within me at the same time. Weird”
We might even question the inner peace we experience, especially if there are things in the near future that needs to be taken care of but we don’t know how.
But there’s no worry at all, not one little bit of worry, and this is a weird thing for the ego to experience.
“Can I really trust this peace?” we ask.
Because to the ego it’s normal to always feel slightly threatened by something, or worry a little bit about things, especially the future, and now that this peace is present it feels weird to the ego.
“Am I deluding myself? Am I fooling myself somehow? I’m suppose to worry about this thing, like I usually do”
And then, as time goes by, we begin to feel more and more restlessness and the thing that is coming up in our near future that we previously felt peace about we no longer feel peace about at all.
This can evolve into an ego-attack that lasts for a few short moments, or it can last for hours or days.
Instead of the peace we previously felt we begin to feel a sense of urgency and hurry. (=stress)
A lot of ‘have-to’s start to emerge, and maybe there’s even a feeling of panic looming in our hearts.
”Oh, God, I have to fix this!” or else..”I might loose this” or ”not get that” which is the most usual fears of the ego.
What started out as a tiny bit of frustration soon snowballs into fed-upness, frustration and some occasional shedding of tears because we can’t move this way or that way.
Nothing we do seem to work.
Not even meditation seem to give us the answers we so desperately feel we need.
There’s nothing but stillness.
*crickets chirp*
There’s no inspiration whatsoever, life feels flat and we wonder if it’s ever going to be any better.
*Gloom and doom/Self-pity*
Now the peace and joy is completely forgotten…
And then, after a short while the resistance to the stillness begins to take the form of resentment and anger, and the ego’s interpretations of the silence makes it into something that is perceived as wrong and bad.
Now there’s more tears and the loss of connection with Truth as we go deeper into despair and frustration.
Now the ego is in the drivers seat and we find ourselves in a full-blown dualistic worldview again.
Our interpretations go completely haywire. We create the most incredible stories around the wrongness about our situation.
We resent God and we feel trapped and controlled by some outside forces.
Things seem to get darker and darker and apparent failure seem to await us.
And as we allow ourselves to get caught up in the emotional hooks that the ego throws at us, all it does is that it strengthens the ego even more.
If this sounds like something you’re going through, then I’ll invite you to look at this differently because the ego’s stories and interpretation is not the Truth.
The facts may remain; there might be that thing you have to get sorted out in the near future, but if you know in your heart that you have done what you can, then we have to have the courage to let go and trust that there’s a Power within us that knows about our battle and have ways of handling it that we know nothing of.
There’s a higher way of seeing things that will bring the peace into your life again and that can come about when we let go and surrender to the uncertainty that life sometimes present to us.
Instead of trying to fight our own battles we hand them over to the one they belong to: God. The Power within knows exactly what to do about them.
It’s a natural part of any kind of transformational progress to come to a period of quietness (where nothing seem to happen) where cleansing or spiritual chemicalization takes place, and in that process old fears can well up again and challenges gets magnified out of proportion if seen through the ‘old eyes’.
The stories the ego has built around the challenges or issues gets vastly exaggerated and we can easily get emotionally hooked if we’re not aware and thus create inner turmoil and agony for ourselves.
But let’s look at what is really happening.
When our minds have been stretched by new information and insights that has been thought-provoking in some way (a shift in consciousness is a result of letting go of old limiting beliefs and an acceptance of a new way of seeing things) that then provokes the ego’s way of seeing and experiencing things and thus there’s friction, or a clash between the old and the new level of consciousness.
That’s when the new-found peace can quickly be replaced with the old fearful ways of perception if we don’t hold on to our our faith in a power greater than the conscious mind, or our human-ness, and the insights and revelations that we have come to realize.
As long as we stay with the peace (and new-found insights and revelations) we can avoid getting caught up in any mind-spins, and we can only do that by having a deeper understanding of ourselves and the process of spiritual transformation.
When a consciousness shift happens and we do our best to stay aligned by trusting and knowing that there is a divine unfoldment happening then we allow the process to go much smoother.
The easiest and quickest way is to take our hands off the steering-wheel completely, but that is sometimes hard to do, especially if the process goes slower than we are comfortable with.
But there’s no way around it, we have to trust that these shifts in our consciousness are bringing us to higher and higher levels each time we go through them (and not to a lesser place) as we can’t regress back to the old fully even if we try.
Life is moving upward and forward by default, it’s not going backwards so we can never loose anything.
So any feelings that comes up, let them come up (without getting involved in them), let sadness or resentment arise if they do and see it as part of the process of you releasing old patterns of attachment and beingness.
And if you get scared, hold on and rely on your faith knowing that we all have faith in something – so refuse to have faith and trust in what your ego is telling you.
Have faith in the Power within you who has the whole picture and get comfortable with not knowing.
We can’t always know everything, and we have the choice of either looking at life as something that we have to control at any cost (which is impossible), or we can relax into knowing that the journey of life is pretty much unpredictable and uncertain by nature.
We don’t have to see that as a bad thing.
We can have a clear vision or dream for our life, but we have no way of knowing how it will manifest or become a reality in our life.
That part is not up the the conscious mind, it knows nothing of it.
Instead of fretting about it and trying to control things, we can also wake up each day looking with curiosity for the events to unfold instead of worrying about them, and even if this is sometimes very difficult to do when in the process of transformation, it is good to know that it is indeed a natural part of the process.
Here’s what you can do:
If you find yourself in one of the divine storms of your life, then please remember that when you follow your heart you are always being taken care of, you are guided each step of the way (you have been so far, haven’t you?), and sometimes when there’s nothing to hear or receive, then step back and let God come in and do the rest.
Surrender to the stillness. That’s how it works.
You do your part (inner work and progress until you feel you have come to a natural ending and completion.)
Next thing for you to do is then to let go and let God. (Whatever you call the Power that holds everything together.)
The Power and Wisdom within you now takes over and puts things into place for you, it goes before you and clears the way.
Relax, and stand still (simply “be”) with the conviction that it has been victory for you from the start and can’t be anything else for you.
Life chose YOU for the path you’re on. So you are bound to succeed and overcome.
Whenever you find yourself in distress in this particular part of the process, remember;
Don’t believe the stories that your mind makes up – let them go. (By denying their power and instead state that you only agree with Truth.)
Do what your hands finds to do today only, whatever that might be. (Don’t worry about what to do tomorrow. You will know when you get there.)
Sometimes there’s absolutely nothing you can do and if so, have the courage to stay with that.
Most important thing is to stay here and now (stay present with only what is right in front of you), be fully in this moment and do what you feel is the obvious thing to do and then leave the cares of tomorrow to tomorrow and when you do, most probably the challenges you thought you had has been resolved for you when you get there.
Leave all your cares to the Power within you who is right now working on your behalf to bring the perfect solutions forth into your experience.

Hi Maria,
As an enlightened person; can you please share with us the “Nature of Reality” you experienced right Now such as who we actually are ?
This I am asking you out of curiosity only. Just as in guided meditation I generally assume that I am a pure Light… and within meditation I really just experiencing that only! I know this is a mind game… But it will reveal it’s falseness much later.
Thanks.
Ganesh
Since the last time you asked me this and I told you to find out for yourself ‘what it’s like’, have you done anything in terms of actually finding out for yourself..?
It’s not an “experience”, not an extension of what you might experience in a meditation.
Forget about experiences all together, it’s not about anything like that. Get over all that.
You need to ask yourself (by self-inquiry) what the nature of reality is and not me.
These articles that just came to mind, hope you find them helpful:

And this one too:
https://www.rebelmouse.com/mariaerving/there-is-no-true-self-1842171181.html
And I want to add that the more you focus on yourself (and it should be exclusively on yourself) the better.
Your journey is about You and not about other people.
So if you have any questions at all about anything related to your own journey and experiences then I’m here for you.
But I’m not here to cater to the ego who only wants spiritual experiences and to engage in discussions about them and various spiritual concepts and ideas.
Truth is the last thing the ego wants, even if it says that’s what it wants.
And Truth cannot be taught, spoken about or given to another even if some make loads of money selling the promise of enlightenment, it’s just not possible.
They are selling fools gold – All done by the ego and to the ego.
The truth is that each individual has to find out for themselves, and then they will ‘know’.
Thanks Maria.
Thank You for Very Precise Pointers!
Regards,
Ganesh
