Try New Things In Life
Do something new or different today!
It’s so important to try new things, and trying new things can also be about doing old things differently, in a new way.
Many years ago when I was in rehab I had to start doing things differently and making new choices for my life and that was both scary at times but also interesting as I was observing myself reacting to things that happened in a different way, many times in the complete opposite way than what I was used to.
By doing things differently our self-awareness increase and we’re able to become a more conscious and aware person.
So be totally open and willing to try new things in life, never back away from an intuitive idea for example that feels right to pursuit even if it’s uncomfortable or challenging.
Some things we try go well while other things don’t, that’s part of life; to succeed and to find your own way you have to be willing to try and fail and make mistakes.
And some things you just realize that they weren’t for you or your ‘thing’!
No big deal 😊 At least you tried and gave it a go, and there’s always something to take away from everything we do that is positive and helpful.
So today I invite you to try something new, or do something in a different way than how you’re always doing them.
If you’re a reactive person for example, or someone who interrupts others, or you explain yourself and defend yourself a lot, get angry or are easily offended, then today try to be and do the opposite of what you’re normally doing.
Try to listen more, hear what others has to say and make them feel that you are really present for them and that you’re willing to hear them out.
If you’re grumpy and irritable a lot, find something to be grateful for, show more appreciation to others, and so on.
If you have been thinking of improving some skills, or yourself and your life, but have not taken action on the nudges from within, then today you could take the step and sign up for that class or whatever it might be.
Just do it.
If you have thought about starting a blog, then do that today.
If you’re always online, then take a few hours offline day, away from social media and TV and go out for a long walk in nature instead.
Or start journaling or meditating for 20 minutes every morning if you’re not doing that already, or begin a morning and evening routine that is empowering and that helps you connect with yourself and the Universe.
The point is; try something new, do something new or different.
It frees up energy and helps you get into a new, more inspired and empowered flow and then from there on, new things unfold, things that helps you grow and that makes life fuller and more enjoyable.
So give it a chance; do something new today! See what happens and where it takes you.
The reality of life is this; you can either:
- Try to go back to the way things were, but that will only frustrate you (as life always moves forwards, not backwards), and it will also frustrate the flow of your life.
- Stay right where you are and just continue doing things the way you’ve always done them; or
- Face your fears and the resistance you might have about doing new things and simply decide that it’s time to take a Step Forward.
It’s much more fun and interesting to always go with the flow of your own life’s energy and take action on the ideas and nudges from the Universe! 😊
So today, ask yourself:
What new can I try or do today?
What can I do differently today?
And then go do it.
