Decide To Believe That The Universe Is Friendly
Albert Einstein said that the most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly universe or a horrible universe.
How would it feel to make a decision right now that you from now on believe that good things await you, and that you actually have a say in that?
Making decisions has a tremendous power because by doing so you are declaring something to be so and there are no other options. When you really decide something, not only will the universe do everything to make it so but you also stop compromising with yourself; there will no longer be any ifs and buts about it.
You have made a clear decision about something that matters to you.
Before you have done that, everything has only been wishing and wanting. You become very clear about what you want, and that’s final. It will be; you just know it.
Once you set an intention and declare something will be so, you are sending a signal to the universe and it begins to move that something to you and you to it. You can either let life happen to you and just react and respond and manage by crisis, or you can decide to helm and steer your course, deciding what is important to you, what you value, in every area of your life, and go for it. It’s really up to you.
We are already making decisions all day long, because everything we experience gives us the opportunity to decide if it is something we would like to experience more of or something we want less of—but most people go through life responding to whatever happens, thinking that they have no say in it, totally unaware of their own power.
They get stuck in the contrast, not even knowing it. They just feel bad, stuck, and frustrated, thinking that life sucks and there’s nothing one can do.
Sometimes we even know what to do to change things; but we choose not to. That’s a decision too.
Take the time to sit down and really decide what is important to you and then take action that is in alignment with it. Whatever you would want for yourself, or you value as something good, is nothing other than wishing and dreaming—if no action is involved.
I don’t mean hard work kind of action, because our “doing” can never be as good as our intentions. I mean the kind of action that springs from within, that which comes from inspiration, because the most productive and joyful action comes from our soul, and it can come forth when we decide to let our soul decide.
What follows is to listen to your soul and to be brave enough to follow it, to obey your heart. Your soul always wants what brings joy and peace to you; that is how you know which way to go.
Your heart always knows.
