Use Your Awareness to Find Peace
The way to get back to peace is to become conscious of your thoughts and thinking-patterns.
Next time you feel worried about something, instead of getting consumed by it and letting it determine and dictate your emotional state, see it as the perfect opportunity for you to observe your ego-mind.
Observe how it’s always ‘not here’, but always in the future or the past.
Whatever the mind comes up with you don’t have to believe. The stories the mind makes up have no validity in your present life experience unless you choose to believe them.
Peace is always available to us at all times, it’s just our thoughts that pull us away from it; we ‘feel’ what we ‘think’, and if you can just stay aware in the present moment, being neutral, there is peace.
We can’t know what will happen even five minutes from now. We don’t know what will happen five days from now either, we can only ever be here and now, or lost in the narratives of the mind – it’s either-or.
Close your eyes right now, and feel the power of the present moment. Feel it, and even touch something, to anchor yourself ‘here’. Stay in the moment even if your mind wants to wander or wants to get your attention.
There’s nothing else going on but this, this moment right now.
The one who is worried is not ‘you’, it’s your ego, and when you grow in self-awareness, you’ll see this very clearly and that’s when you can become free from its influence on your emotional state and well-being.

Are you in charge of your mind, or is your mind in charge of you?
Many people don’t realize that they are not in control of their own minds; it’s their thoughts that control them.

They’re stuck in the same patterns of habitual thinking that hinder them from living life to the fullest, struggling with intrusive, negative thoughts, leading only to feelings of anxiety, unease, and self-doubt. READ MORE
